As a custom spring and wire form designer and
manufacturer, we can supply you with a nearly limitless variety of products, all
conforming to even the most exacting specifications. Parts may be created from
flat or round wire stock from 0.005" to 0.500" diameter, in a wide variety of
materials. Visit the links below to find a product category to meet your needs:
COMPRESSION SPRINGS
Compression springs are open-coil helical springs that resist compressive axial
loads. The most common form of this spring is a cylindrical helix formed from
round wire, with closed, square-ground ends. However, other geometries (concave,
convex, conical) and wire shapes (square, rectangular, etc.) are in use. Also
possible are a variety of different end geometries. |

EXTENSION SPRINGS
Extension springs are used to resist tensile axial loads, and may be of either
the open- or closed-coil variety. Closed-coil springs are usually manufactured
with an 'initial tension' that must be overcome before deflection will occur.
Literally hundreds of different end configurations are possible for connecting
the spring to the load; the most common are crossover, machine, and extended
hooks. |
TORSION SPRINGS
Torsion springs are used to provide resistance in a variety of angular (torque)
loading conditions, the most common being hinges and other similar applications.
The most common torsion spring are pictured to the right, with one closed-coil winding
and two straight ends.
Double torsion springs offer higher precision and
consist of two coils wound in opposite directions. They provide more balanced
loading at the cost of increased design complexity and production cost. |

WIRE FORMS
Wire forms are any type of straight or shaped wire. Wire forms are most commonly
manufactured out of spring wire; however, other basic wire cross sections are
also available. Wire forms range from simple straight lengths to geometries with
many bends and angles. Our CNC wire-forming equipment can shape many complex
wire forms automatically, minimizing your final cost. Upon receipt of your print
or sketch, we will promply provide a quotation. |
